Eternally Optimistic

The way we choose to think, positive or negative, has a great impact on the final outcome and is mirrored in everything we do. Positive thinking is power for your soul. It is said that as long as you feel pain, you’re still alive; as long as you make mistakes, you’re still human; and as long as you keep trying, there is still hope.

To quote Norman Vincent Peale, “The person who sends out positive thoughts activates the world around him positively and draws back to himself positive results.”

Optimists are positive thinkers and have a distinct advantage over pessimists. For example, I believe my life didn’t just happen by chance and I am certain I was predestined to live the life I do. I don’t spend a moment thinking about a crappy upbringing, I didn’t hit some lucky or unlucky streak. The results I achieved as a fellow human, nonprofit leader, disability advocate, author, and mom came from the choices I did or didn’t make. I make a point of making positive choices and staying positive while recognizing my shortcomings and living with love and kindness in my heart.
