Meet Linda Smith – Upcoming Speaking Presentation at Desert Newcomers Club

Linda’s presentation will be focusing on one of her signature talks “My Journey To Here,” where she discusses how her life experiences and the birth of her son inspired her to become a disability activist and a fundraiser for charities. She will also discuss her first book “Unwanted: How a Mother Learned to Turn Shame, Grief and Fear into Purpose, Passion and Empowerment” and the stories and inspiration behind it.

Desert Newcomers Club was established in 2004 as a non-profit, non-denominational social club for women who are new to Las Vegas-Henderson area. Also open to women who have been living in Las Vegas-Henderson for years, the Desert Newcomers Club fosters friendships and camaraderie through its social activities and informational and entertaining programs.
